Bridal & Baby Showers in US
In the US showers are traditionally only for women and are usually held at someone's house, although baby showers are sometimes held at work. Bridal showers (= for a woman who is getting married) are organized by the woman's friends or her maid of honour. The women play silly games, and the presents are usually things for the home or sexy underwear. At a baby shower, the presents are typically toys, clothes and equipment for the new baby.
