Genderisation of products which in the past used to be neutral is a growing phenomenon. The reason? To increase sales.
There is also a tendency called "pinkification", which has been put into practice by manufacturers of pink toys and children's clothing. Pinkstinks is a campaign against this negative trend. You can read about these in the links below.
