As with anything creative ,
Change is inevitable .

They say all that glitters is gold . And yes , it definitely is .

But I am not talking about the 24 karat gold bars we have all come to know and love . No , my friends . I am talking about the somewhat glittering trees of green lush forests of Fraser's Hill after a light drizzle covers the trees with sparkles of dew and rain drops .

I stood at my room balcony staring at what possibly might be even more precious than gold itself. Something that we humans have long forgotten , that the pride and jewel of nature is indeed very , very valuable . As I've said so last year , the things we have come to lay our eyes upon up there is something money can never buy .

Hello , my dear friends .

Yes , I am back after spending a few days on the gateway of heaven . A place where we can pull up a chair onto the balcony and watch the day go by . A venue , where time moves really , really slowly and you do not have to rush for anything as the day awaits you . An area where thick forests literally covers the land with nothing to stare at but the majesty of mother nature's creation . Fraser's Hill , that is .

Thank and bless Louis James Fraser's soul for founding this hill to which eventually developed into a wonderful hill-side resort .

I spent most of my time either stroking a few tennis shots or laying in my bed which so happen faces the balcony . The views were spectacular , almost unbelievable . All you can see are tall green trees that cannot be found down here in Subang Jaya . But most of the time , we cannot help but be amazed of how grand and rather old these trees have become .

Monkeys , various species of birds and supposedly wild boars can be spotted if you keep your eyes wide open and pealed . However , I have not received much luck when it comes to wild animal encounters . Except for those bloody monkeys . They even tried to enter the apartment I was staying at .
Funny . I don't know who is more afraid . Us screaming and yelling at the monkeys in fear or the monkeys themselves .

Anyways . With such serenity and peace , what more can I ask for ? Well .

Nothing much actually as I stared into the open spaces from my room balcony which has a great scenery of the valleys below . There were moments where the sunshine was really at it's best , which lit up the valleys below like a blanket of light . And then , there were moments where the clouds cover up the sun and mystic mists drift slowly through the hills providing limited sight for most of the inhabitants there .

But whose complaining ?
Where there's mist there's always the feeling of cool and calm .

Another incident worth telling is the moments where I spent my time playing brilliant tennis in such cool conditions . As I pant , inhaling large amounts of air into my lungs , I feel a slight change deep down inside . No more burnt trachea or shrunken lungs that eventually pops off your trachea . I'm breathing in fresh air !

In addition to that , there was a time where we played a game of tennis while a light downpour rained upon us like tiny crystals that dropped off the sky .
The incredible thing about it is that I have a strong feeling that you will not fall sick if you are exposed to the rain up there . I mean , why would you ?
There are no pollutions or pollutants anywhere around you which means we need not fear getting seared in acidic rain . On the contrary , I feel more refreshed after being drenched by tiny nibblets of rain .

Psychologically , I feel that I have recovered through self-questioning and sentimentalism that just overwhelmed me while I was up there . After all the mental scarring that I have experienced in my life I can confidently say that I have healed a lot knowing that there
IS special place that I can always retreat to if trouble arrives .

And this time , we enjoyed a different kind of activity . An activity that we do not usually play every year . Perhaps , this year was a little bit different so to speak . This year , we had an opportunity to rent paddle boats to explore the once reservoir-turned-recreational lake known as Allan's Water . We didn't had the chance to explore the lake last year as it was always closed for renovation or maintenance . But this year , it really was something different as the lake turned out to be bigger than I thought . The once-reservoir had small rivers that leads deep into the jungles of Fraser's Hill . Nothing but emerald green water around us and with the sweat of our legs , we paddle as if we were riding a bicycle up hill on 6th gear ( it was never easy ) .

I have a feeling
Usain Bolt comes here every now and then to paddle these boats and thus , buffing up his thighs .

But , I'll let some of the pictures I have taken here do most of the talking . You decide whether if this place is in fact , the gateway to heaven . Or , that's what I think and feel it is.

Given the opportunity , I will gladly accept the risk of car-sickness and headaches travelling up and down the hill just to be able to breathe in the air of the hills , and feast my eyes on the ever lasting wonder of Fraser's Hill .

*******************

I am really exhausted after all the traveling .

I am considering taking a day or two just lying on my bed . I think I've suffered a minor jet lag traveling up and down the hill in a quick manner .

Anyways , jet lag or not I do promise more blogging in the near future .

And while you guys finish up what's left of this post , I will most likely be watching tennis on TV as most of you should know by now , Wimbledon is around the corner !

More exciting stuff for you guys in the next post !

I'll see you all again soon .

See you !
