The Making of The Walking Dead - 17 Minute Feature

It's like a Halloween came early this year!

Robert Kirkman's AMC series The Walking Dead is nearing its TV premiere date on Halloween night on AMC and gfest can't wait!  We've seen little clips and trailers that have all been awesome, but nothing compares to this new 17 minute behind the scenes feature.  Watching this should give you all the assurances you need that AMC and Frank Darabont are taking this project seriously and that they are doing it right.

The feature includes interviews with Darabont, where he talks about how AMC has had no problems with including a lot of extremely violent content in the show. This show sure looks like its going to blow people away, not to mention how many zombies will be blown away in the process.

If you've ever read The Walking Dead, you have to watch this behind the scenes video below and tell us what you think! But we are officially in love!

The Punisher Wants a Guest Spot on Walking Dead TV Series

Thomas Jane is a huge fan of Robert Kirkman's Walking Dead Series.  Jane, who played The Punisher in the first film was originally scheduled to play Rick Grimes when the project was in the hands of HBO.

Since then, the project moved over to AMC, and Thomas Jane stayed with HBO to star in Hung. But that doesn't mean Jane is any less excited about the project.

"That show is going to be a big f---ing hit," he told NBC Washington blog PopcornBiz at HBO’s post-Emmy party. "I've seen it and it is fan-f---ing-tastic."

So far, we’ve only been made privy to the supersized "The Walking Dead" trailer but Jane is completely right.  It looks awesome.

And Jane still wants to be a part of the show.  He apparently spent much of his Emmy night lobbying “Dead” director Frank Darabont (who directed Jane in “The Mist”) to get on the show.
"I'm going to come on and do a guest thing," he told the site. "Maybe play a bad guy."

His commitment only goes so far though.  Jane plans to stay alive for any role he may play in Walking Dead.  "I'm not going to be a zombie," he said. "That's too much makeup."

Gfest is all for this happening.  Jane was a great Punisher, and I can't help but feel that the Punisher would be like a kid on Christmas in a world full of zombies that need killing.
