"a dog can detect dynamite through dirty diapers, or C4 through smelly socks. Whether providing explosives sweeps for a large venue or a smaller security detail, bomb dogs are more economical and effective than other methods of searching. Here are several reasons:"(link to source article is below)
Speed -- Dogs can check faster by smell than an Xray machine operator by sight.
Instant results -- They detect target odors "in real time" -- no waiting for lab results.
Mobility -- Dogs can check out large areas faster than any other method.
Versatility -- Explosive detection dogs can detect a wide variety of substances.
Precision -- Dogs can discriminate between very similar chemical compounds.
Focused -- Dogs can detect target odors in an environment so full of odors that electronic sensors may be compromised.
Ability to Find Source -- Only dogs can track chemical vapor to its exact source. No instrumental device is presently capable of doing this.
Fewer Breakdowns -- Dogs don't have mechanical failures and can quickly be replaced should the dog be ill or not want to work.
No power source required -- Dogs don't require electricity and can work in areas where power is unavailable.
Adaptable -- Dogs can check items and areas that won't fit in an Xray machine.
For military patrols throughout the world, a bomb sniffing dog can mean the difference between life and death. These "dogs of war" have saved countless lives and their record for finding hidden explosives has won them a loyal following. The soldiers trust these dogs more than metal detectors and mine sweepers. Back on the home front, using bomb dogs reduces unnecessary evacuations. Dogs can check out suspicious packages, avoiding the need to call in a bomb squad (unless explosives are found) and reducing expensive company "down time."
Just think no more radiation,no more molestation. The dogs would ensure our safety, our Constitutional rights would be protected. So why is this not an option?
An article on NPR states that bomb sniffing dogs are deployed to Afghanistan. They save lives by detecting explosives from homemade bombs. This is a simple but extremely effective solution for TSA. Dogs can be trained to detect any kind of explosive. TSA touches your junk because of the CIA sponsored underwear bomber. If the underwear bomber had been sniffed by a dog with an explosive trained sniffer..NONE of that trash would ever have happened. Perhaps that is the point. It is very difficult to have false flag mini operations that continue the 9/11 terrorism regime agenda lies.....If the dog's nose can just simply put a stop to it. It's time to bring in the dogs.
"NFPA is not a law enforcement agency, and makes no laws."
Correct, but Lawyer doesn't claim otherwise.
Next up, Pat quotes a person who reports to have worked for a first responder K9 unit for FEMA as stating:
No explosives or incendiary devices were planted anywhere in that complex. None. Our dogs and the other EDD K9's would have alerted after the fact as well. It's what they are trained for. We staged for the two weeks we were there at the Fresh Kills landfill on Staten Island. This is where much of the structural steel was brought. Despite rumors to the contrary, chain of custody was maintained and virtually all of the steel was cataloged and vital pieces were inspected. Not a single dog ever alerted to the presence of either explosives or incendiary residue. Not one.
First off, the official FEMA report contradicts this person's statement that "virtually all the steel was cataloged and vital pieces were inspected."
During the official investigation controlled by FEMA, one hundred fifty pieces of steel were saved for future study. One hundred fifty pieces out of hundreds of thousands of pieces! Moreover it is not clear who made the decision to save these particular pieces. It is clear that the volunteer investigators were doing their work at the Fresh Kills dump, not at Ground Zero, so whatever steel they had access to was first picked over by the people running the cleanup operation.
A team of independent scientists from Denmark, USA and Australia... claim to have found a substance called Nano Thermite in the dust of the World Trade Center attacks of September 11, 2001 in New York City. Nano Thermite is an explosive, normally only used by the military, not available on the normal market. It is a relative to thermite, a substance used for welding.
When Harriet was asked:
"Why did no bomb sniffing dog bark?"
He replied:
"...They are trained on conventional explosives which smell rather characteristically."
I hate to give ANY SUPPORT WHATSOEVER to the Truthers, but they (the dogs) are trained to find incendiary devices. "Nanothermite" is rust and aluminum. Both of which are EXTRAORDINARILY common in wrecked buildings.
thermite still needs something to ignite it, you can just put a sack of rustand aluminum somewhere and hope it goes off, dogs would be able to smell the ignition device
Nanoscale composites are easier to ignite than traditional thermites. A nichrome bridgewire can be used in some cases. Other means of ignition can include flame or laser pulse.
A nichrome bridgewire is just more metals, flames would burn their little puppy noses, and we all know dogs are confused by lazers.
As I've stated many times before, this material was chose because it is perfect for a covert demolition.
After the Sept. 11 attacks, Russell Lee Ebersole and his dogs were hired to help protect the Federal Reserve Board and the State Department from terrorist attacks. But in the end, they didn't pass the smell test.
Ebersole, 43, was indicted Friday for allegedly making a series of false statements in securing more than $700,000 in federal contracts for his bomb detection dog business, Detector Dogs Against Drugs and Explosives. Among other charges: His dogs and handlers flunked five explosives-detection tests, including one occasion when they failed to detect 50 pounds of TNT in a Federal Reserve parking facility.
The 28-count indictment, returned by a federal grand jury in Alexandria, Va., also alleges that he misrepresented his credentials and once inflated a bill for services rendered at the World Trade Center by about $10,000.
And it seems that sometimes when explosive residue is found by dogs the higher-ups explain it away as a false positive! As the article "9/11 probers skipped key forensic tests" notes:
According to researcher Graeme Sephton, the FBI withheld its forensics findings concerning the explosion that felled TWA Flight 800 over Long Island Sound during naval maneuvers in 1996. The bureau failed to share with the National Transportation Safety Board knowledge of the fact that traces of a chemical associated with an explosive had been detected on plane wreckage, Sephton, who has fought long battles for the release of federal records, found. It appeared that only when the finding leaked to the press did the NTSB became aware of the residue, Sephton said. The residue was attributed to a spill of a chemical used in the training of bomb-sniffing dogs.
Sephton also discovered that the FBI had withheld from the medical examiner a group of pellets, recovered from Flight 800 corpses, that he said are consistent with warheads found in some missiles.
