Truth Be Told ..

While 15,000 people in south-west London were fast-forwarding

towards this summer’s Wimbledon Championships , after being given a

preview of the
new retractable roof over the grass , the two men

who provided last year’s
extraordinary final at the All England Club

had their minds , and their bodies ,
on continental clay.

For Federer, it has been a while , but at last he had a prize-giving

ceremony
he could enjoy , having not won a trophy since last October’s indoor tournament in Basel , near his home in Switzerland.

On the Manolo Santana Court at the newly-built 'Magic Box’ , Hilary Swank ,

the Oscar-winning actress , presented the Swiss with a gleaming new car .

And later Federer was given a silver plate for a 6-4 , 6-4 triumphant over Nadal

that came a week before the second grand slam of the year ,

the French Open , begins at Roland Garros.

At a new tournament , Federer was back to his old ways , smiling and
thanking

spectators , organisers and sponsors during a champion’s speech.

Perhaps there should be a little asterisk next to this one , too , as Nadal was

plainly tired from his exertions on Saturday afternoon , when he had staved off

three match points during a four-hour semi-final against Serbia’s Novak Djokovic .

Would Federer have beaten Nadal if Djokovic had not first worn out the world No 1 ?

Perhaps , as there was a purpose to Federer’s tennis .

But it would be going too far to suggest that , because of one defeat on clay,

Nadal is not the favorite for Paris .

This year , Nadal had not been thrilled about the fact that his last tournament

before Paris was played at relative altitude , as Madrid is 650 metres
above sea-level ,

so a tennis ball flies around quicker than it does in the French capital.

Nadal had won the last five matches against Federer , including last season’s

French Open and Wimbledon finals , and this year’s Australian Open final .

This time , there was no need for tears .

“I’m sorry to spoil the party,”

Federer told the Spanish public in Madrid , after taking his career tally to 58 titles , including 13 grand slams .

This could once again , prove that Federer really is King of Tennis as he

dethrones the King of Clay .

And now , it all comes down to the French Open where Federer , with confidence ,

will achieve his next grand slam which he is currently just one shy of all-time

leader , Pete Sampras .

The Mid-Year Examination
Progress .

3 days have passed , 2 more to go .

My mid-year exams are not as hard as people think .

The questions are rather straight-forward and if one actually studies ,

they shouldn't face a problem .

I agree with Anton , whereby essays and novels are just a pain in the bottom .

Maths , was easy in a way . But the indices and algebraic parts are just plain confusing .

It all comes down to my paper one that determines whether if I am to fail my maths , I guess .

Geography and the Integrated Living Skills paper was rather easy .

I don't expect
myself to fail these .

As for tomorrow , History , Moral and Maths paper one .

I don't know what might happen , because there's no certainty at all .

Let's just hope the papers are relatively easy and ,
thou' shall do my best !

Oh well , just a short post for now .

Wish me luck , and I'll see you fellow earthlings in two days !

Speaking of two days time , my dad is coming home in two days .

finally ..

p/s : Right now , I don't know if you feel the same for me ..
pp/s : I don't listen to double-sided agents , or their worthless masters .

Lve ,
Jaden .
