SEC Found No Sign 9/11 Conspirators Traded on Plot

Nobody at 911blogger.com as of me posting this is impressed, however, on March 7th of this year I stated that I thought this issue had been effectively debunked.

SEC Found No Sign 9/11 Conspirators Traded on Plot

Joseph Schuman
aolnews.com

(April 30) -- Nearly nine years, two recessions and thousands of conspiracy theories later, the U.S. government has made it official: Initial speculation after the 9/11 terrorist attacks that plotters made financial bets against airlines or other companies hurt by the events was unfounded.

The Securities and Exchange Commission began its inquiry into the matter on Sept. 12, 2001, and went on to examine trading in the U.S. and foreign securities markets that took place between Aug. 20 of that year and Sept. 11. While the agency wrapped up its investigation in May 2002, and there were references to the SEC's conclusions in the report by the federal 9/11 Commission, the findings were kept secret.

But the privately operated, nonpartisan National Security Archives fought for six years to make the SEC report public, an effort aided by the Obama administration's push to declassify documents across the spectrum of government affairs. And today, most of the SEC's "Pre-September 11, 2001 Trading Review" was made public.

"We have not developed any evidence that suggests that those who had advance knowledge of the attacks traded on the basis of that information," the SEC said. "In every instance where we noticed unusual trading before the attack, we were able to determine, either through speaking directly with those responsible for the trading, or by reviewing trading records, that the trading was consistent with a legitimate trading strategy."

The SEC said it looked at 9.5 million securities transactions involving 103 companies in six industry groups and trading in seven financial markets.

The inquiry's early focus was on the shares of UAL Corp. and AMR Corp., parent companies of United Airlines and American Airlines, whose planes were guided by terrorists into the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon, as well as one brought down in a Pennsylvania field after passengers attacked the hijackers aboard.

But the probe quickly widened to financial firms with significant operations in the World Trade Center and insurance companies that faced billions of dollars in losses following the attacks. Securities tied to defense and aerospace companies, security firms and travel and leisure services were examined as well.
Shares in AMR and UAL dropped 40 percent or more after financial markets reopened on Sept. 17, 2001. And the commission's investigators found that short selling -- a means of betting against the companies -- substantially increased for UAL on Sept. 6 and for AMR on Sept. 10 of that year.

Yet interviews with the financial advisers and traders who initiated those transactions found they based their decisions on several bearish factors already affecting the airline industry, including widely distributed recommendations for short selling from a California newsletter called Options Hotline.

P.S.

911blogger user "simuvac" states, "It should be noted that finance professor Allen Poteshman already published a peer-reviewed academic study that concluded there was insider knowledge of the attacks involved in pre-9/11 put option trading. The final version of that paper appears in the Journal of Business in 2006.

Again, I am of the opinion that the debunkers have made some very valid points regarding this paper. Soon after its release, James B. of the Screw Loose Change blog made a preemptive strike, stating:
It would be inaccurate to term Professor Poteshman a conspiracy theorist though, and it is doubtful that his findings will be used to support conspiracy theories, except in their usual quote mining manner, since the entire foundation of his paper is based off the presumption that the attacks were carried out by Al Qaeda or some similar terrorist group, and the paper does not make the normal broad characterizations typical of conspiracy theorists. In fact in many cases it points out arguments contrary to the main thesis, such as the fact that many of the put options were not the short term high payoff options that you would expect in such a conspiracy.
P.P.S. May 01, 2010

James B. informed his readers that, "Nothing ever gets debunked permanently with these people. Put options and 'eight of the hijackers are still alive' will be prominently featured in David Ray Griffin's 2015 lectures."

The fact that I agreed with him in this post debunks him. :) I also concur that none of the hijackers are alive.

James also states:

"There is a conspiracy theory industry. Alex Jones, Grifter and Box Boy Gage are the current beneficiaries, but inevitably somebody else will come along to make a buck off the rubes."

Sorry James, that is debunked myth #26 on conspiracy theories:
Myth #26: Conspiracy theory is an "industry"

Even though a conspiracy theory might eventually become widespread, it is difficult for individual authors to gain recognition or wealth from their books or films because they are ignored by the mainstream publications and are on shoestring budgets. In fact, few rich authors have made their fortunes from conspiracy theories, except for a few writers and directors whose challenges to the establishment are limited and general, or disguised as fiction.

While the leading conspiracy theorists like Alex Jones, Dylan Avery and David Icke sell many DVDs, their profits are small and mostly spent on producing their material and to sustain themselves and their employees, often at their personal financial loss. Also, more often than not, the distribution of their material on the internet at no charge far outweighs their sales as a means to make their ideas gain acceptance.

It is also important to point out that this claim neither proves nor disproves any proposed theories.
Ideas are more powerful than guns .
If we would not let our enemies have guns ,
why would we want them to have ideas ?

Hello my fellow readers .

It's the first of May and I see a lot of things coming this way .

For instance , there's the mid term examinations coming up and I do not know if I am ready yet . People ask me , " have you prepared for the exams ? "

I simply reply to them a short and sweet answer . An answer which most of us here most likely understand and agree with me .

" No "

Well , the month of April has gone by . And it has been one heck of a month .

Lots of dramas going on in my school and of course the ever-usual disciplinary cases which often takes place in my class . There's not one day in a week where our class is free of any disciplinary cases . Quoted by Pn Teo as the " kelas yang paling bermasalah " .

For those of you who live in Malaysia and do not understand what the above means , screw yourself .

But hey , at least I'm not the notoriously famous ' criminal ' or should I say ' criminals ' of the class . Every teacher fears that my name would be called out to face Pn Teo but I reassured them that I did no wrong , and will not be entering the the room of eternal demerits .

This week alone , there are more discipline cases than you can count with your fingers . Thursday alone , 3 separate foolish acts that occured in my class caused a whole bunch of people to proceed to the room of eternal demerits .

Anything and everything , you name it . Cases like mass-eating in class to playing human-pyramid .. it definitely was chaos .

Whats worse . Some idiot brought a porn DVD to the class and got caught . A whole bunch of people in my class got called up for investigation . Yes people , investigation . For your information , I study in a police station .

Anyways , the whole lot of them tried to make all sorts of reasons to avoid getting screwed in their ass but I feel that their feeble excuses only made things worse and they are only delaying the inevitable . For example ,

They allegedly found the book on the cupboard . And they allegedly found it in a book . Now here's what I don't get .

We share a class with the afternoon session . Why couldn't they have said they found the DVD in one of the Form Two text books ? Maybe , just maybe that could have diverted Pn Teo's attention for a little while if succeeded .

They
had to say that they found the book in our maths book which clearly means that one of us brought the DVD . Instead of delaying the inevitable , they have just delayed their freedom .

But whoever who is stupid enough to bring the DVD , I tell you here and now .

That's a stupid move and you should
go to hell .

If there were ever a dumb ass who would touch fire on purpose , or enter a property that clearly says " Trespassers Will Be Shot " , I think the retard who brought that DVD fits the bill perfectly.

I hope Mackey and Won Jin has learnt their lesson . Earlier from the beginning I already told them not to mix with the ugly-named Jerk Hou as he is indeed a bad influence but no .. no one would listen .

Now , both of them can join this fat ass in the discipline room .

As I've always said since the beginning of high school , no one would listen to me .. you guys just won't listen .

****************

Yesterday , I survived and lived through the horrors of watching ' Twilight ' .

As I sat on the couch dying of boredom because Astro decided to show crappy shows on the one day that I feel great about , which is Friday .. the notoriously famous movie featuring a fag vampire was about to show .

Well , when in Rome right ?

Anyways . As I was watching the movie , I finally found the ONE thing that really caught my attention . No , it's not the female star which I must add , looks and acts like a retarded pornstar . When she found out this Cullen boy here was a vampiric asshole , she should have taken her father's shotgun and place two bullets into his balls .

Back to the point .. The thing that caught my eye was the fagging vampire's father .

Peter Facinelli plays Carlisle Cullen , father of the vampiric family . Well , adoptive father .

He plays this 300 year old vampire that learns to control his urge to drink human blood , replacing them with animal blood . He teaches his wife and adoptive sons and daughters to control themselves and not drink human blood .

So , his character really is this protective , patient , unjudgemental , and I quote , has 'unparalleled compassion' as he even helps the feeble humans as a doctor in a hospital .

You can read more about Carlisle Cullen here (yes , that young looking man is in fact the father) or Peter Facinelli here .

Carlisle is a Celtic name meaning " strong " . This could refer to Carlisle's strong resistance from human blood .

The Old English origin of the name is ' Castle Tower ' , a clear indication of Carlisle's fortitude and the source of his family's own strength .

If you wanna' see what he looks like , go to either one of the links given ( I love the pictures where he stands beside his wife Esme . They both look like such cool and outgoing parents ) . I'm too lazy to upload them all .

In the movie , I think Carlisle towers over his fagging son , Edward as a much stronger and cooler vampire by 100 times .

So , my fellow readers . If I may have said Twilight is for losers , forgive me as perhaps I'm 1/8 of a loser . At least there is one character in this movie that has my vote .

They should give him more lines or roles to play in the upcoming movie . Otherwise , I wouldn't bother watching at all . If I didn't knew any better , I'm naming my son , Carlisle (:

Here's another Whose Line Is It Anyway video for you guys to feast on .

It's a game of Questions with Wigs . It's like a normal Whose Line game of Questions Only , except they throw in a few wigs for them to wear .

It's a really fun game , especially if your bored at home with nothing to do and if you have alot of wigs .

Enjoy !

Alright . I think I've done enough ranting for today .

I'm off now .

I'll see you readers some other time .

How not to sketch, take a picture!

Sometimes you want to sketch but it’s just not possible! Today has been one of those days.

I woke to sunshine and planned to paint. The children were off which dampened my style somewhat.

Solution?

Take them for a picnic! Happy children, happy parent and happy dog! What could possibly go wrong?

So, we set off for the woods - the dog, children et moi! Fully intending to sketch I took all my gear.

Le Grand plan:- To create one or more masterpieces whilst the children played blissfully throwing a ball for the dog! I either have delusions of grandeur or have watched far too many bad American movies/sitcoms. You know, the ones that are saccharin sweet and have a strong moral at the end. Then insult your intelligence by hammering it home right at the end? Usually in the form of a diary entry or letter.

Oh how naive I was! (laughs hysterically). Between carrying all the gear in a bag that kept falling off (I’ve lost my rucksack) and looking for the dog/children - I managed about 10 lines, before moving on.

All was not lost, I had a camera! So,  one subtle media change later and I continued photographing children and other points of interest. My obsession with brickwork and decay was very satisfied. The lighting wasn’t good but compositionally I like them. I loved this wall – the ghosts of bricks. Says a lot when the mortar is stronger than the bricks!

CIMG4872 Decaying wall

There’s some argument over which is better, working from sketches or photographs. And I’m still debating whether the camera should be on my gear list.

But there are times where it’s a godsend. Moving targets like animals and children are a case in point!

What’s your preference! Where have you found a camera essential? Or do you hold to the sketches only principle?

Leave a comment, I’d love to know!

I Left My Mom in San Francisco

"It's a funny thing about comin' home. Looks the same, smells the same, feels the same. You'll realize what's changed is you."
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Every time I think about this quote I get chills... Tomorrow I'm leaving my man and my puppy behind and am going home for the weekend. To say this trip is long overdue is an understatement   (I haven't been home since November!).  Although the weekend is jammed packed, words can't describe how good it will be to eat a "mom" made meal and sleep in my old bed.  Since I can't be with my mom on Mother's Day, I'm planning to do something special for her over the weekend.  I already know Sunday is going to come way to fast.  I just hope saying good bye on Sunday won't be too painful.  Wish me luck!

The Afghanistan War Explained!

One fundamental thing I've learnt during my awakening is that the establishment likes to mask simple truths with tonnes of needlessly complicated bullshit. Whether it's a 10,000 page scientific report masking simple physics, a convoluted climate report masking common sense, or the entire field of economics masking the plain and simple truth about money, they love to saturate things with jargon to lock their educated idiots in a mind prison and put the average person off trying to understand these things.

So it came as no surprise to see this spaghetti graph in the Daily Mail today about the war in Afghanistan...

"When we understand that slide, we'll have won the war."

I think that's the point.

Realistic sketching with coloured pencils - a portrait of Avril Lavigne

I’ve always admired people who can get a photorealistic finish on pencil sketching. For some time I wondered how it was achieved. Then I discovered burnishing. I knew some blending techniques but hadn’t really attempted burnishing before. (There were some serious gaps in my art education!)
This is my second serious attempt at intensive blending, Avril Lavigne. The blending and colours seem to be working well.
Avril Lavine
With any artwork I always find it best to “sit on it” for a while. Looking at a picture after a break helps you see the flaws. The errors are glaringly obvious.
Take Avril here, I thought I was finished until I scanned the picture in. But now I can see where I need some minor adjustments. But I’ll do that tomorrow I think, then add the picture with changes.
I can also see that I need to clean my scanner bed, there are marks on her chin which aren’t on the original! Ugh housework! (phtew)

LIHOP and MIHOP are not mutually exclusive!

Pat Curley has claimed in a recent post that LIHOP and MIHOP are mutually exclusive. This is not true, as it assumes a black and white world. As we have said many times on this blog, the world is not black or white. What debunkers never seem to understand is that 9/11 truth does not claim any specific group was responsible. It is not as simple as saying "It was the US government", or "It was Al-Qaeda", or "It was Israel" or whatever.

LIHOP and MIHOP only refer to the US government's involvement - either the US let it happen on purpose or they made it happen on purpose. Out of those two choices I would actually say that LIHOP is more likely to be the correct answer, because MIHOP implies that it was entirely a US conspiracy and Al-Qaeda etc. had nothing to do with it.

I think it's more likely that Al-Qaeda was involved, I just don't believe they were the masterminds. As Jason Bermas demonstrates in his film Fabled Enemies, 9/11 was most likely an international intelligence operation - involving the CIA, the FBI, MOSSAD, ISI, Saudi Intelligence, British Intelligence etc. and probably Al-Qaeda. The people pulling the strings of these groups were the ones who made it happen on purpose.

I personally don't believe that anyone in the Bush administration was involved in the masterminding of the attacks, a lot of people try and give definite answers like "Bush did it!" or "Cheney did it!" etc. But as far as I'm concerned, those guys were nothing more than puppets acting on orders. And their orders could have simply been "Let it happen!". I mean it's possible that Bush and Cheney don't even know that the towers were demolished.

God can't have Bret Michaels yet

My story isn't special. My brother was into metal when we were kids, and in the midst of all his stuff, I hear some Poison and I was hooked. I remember my sister taking me to the mall to buy anything I wanted for my birthday when I was in the second grade ... what did I choose? A "Look What The Cat Dragged In" concert shirt (which subsequently got stolen by one of my siblings, though I must admit I've never gotten confirmation of that).

I still always carried that torch for Poison, even when my friends made fun of me. So much so I bought a Bret Michaels solo album, and it' good, but you know, you can't top Bret, Ricky, CC and that other dude. :) (Come on, you don't know his name either, and I could go look it up, but I'm too lazy at present moment.)

In 2006 Poison went on tour with Cinderella and I so wanted to go, but they didn't come anywhere near here. As luck would have it, though, they were playing my hometown and I managed to wrangle tickets to a concert the night after the Poison show back home. So it only makes sense that I was going to go to the Poison show if I was going to be in town.

I am so glad I went. It was, by far, the best concert I have ever been to. Cinderella sucked, but you know, I wasn't there to see them. I was there to see Poison. I was there to see Bret. These guys just kept going, singing and having fun. You could tell they were just grateful that, twenty years later, people were still rocking out to their music. (Side note, I was the youngest person there, but you know, whatever.)

I am grateful to my brother for my expanded music education. Without him, I never would have learned the joys of Poison, Guns N Roses, Aerosmith, and others. Much as I love some of the others, Poison has a special place in my heart and always will.

Bret Michaels was one of my first crushes. I loved him when I was seven ... even more now that I'm *ahem* significantly older than seven, though for so many more reasons. Yeah, he's hot (yeah, I know the bandanna is hiding a bald spot, but it happens) ... he has a great heart, and he's so passionate about his daughters. Now that I have one of my own, I can understand that so much more. One of his solo songs is called "Raine," which was written about his oldest daughter and it's one of my favorites.

But you know, nothing I can type here can make the appendectomy and brain hemorrhage (aka stroke) disappear from history. Nothing I can type here can make the doctors figure it all out and make him better. I can pray for him each and every night, because I'm not ready for a life without Bret Michaels in it. I want to see him in concert one more time. I want to sing along with his songs without crying because he's gone.

Guess the best thing to quote is the chorus from his solo song "Stay With Me"
Stay with me
[Bret] won't you stay here with me
You promised you would never leave
Stay with me

Twilight at night - Kristen Stewart caricature

Is it me, or has the Twilight obsession calmed down recently?

What’s that you say?

No!

Oops! Sorry!

Sometimes I love living in a remote part of the country :-)))

Warning you might not wish to proceed with the rest of this blog.

Scenes of a Twilight..ish nature following.

So why am I doing Kristen Stewart?

Good question. I’ve had her picture my “to do” pile for a little while, but felt uninspired to proceed. In the wee small hours of Friday night, I decided to “do my worst”. It’s a relatively old pic of her, which is why she looks so young. Trouble is worst isn’t what I’ve achieved. I’m wondering if some batty references are required. I like subtle, but it doesn’t always succeed in caricatures.

Quite honestly she’s looking a bit too subtle! She’s a bit bland.

Kristen Stewart

So what do you think? Should I add

  1. some blood spurting from her neck?
  2. 2 small dots on her neck?
  3. flying rodents? Bats, I mean bats!
  4. the odd fang or two?
  5. longs claws on the hand?
  6. Any or all of the above?

Answer _____________

Now, please tear off along the dotted lines at the bottom of you monitor and mail your answers to me!

The 9/11 Cover-up: Do "Debunkers" Let It Happen On Purpose?

Our buddy Pat Curley at the Screw Loose Change blog has taken a look at Stewart's recent series of videos presenting the LIHOP case, he states:

What amazes me, though, is how many of the Truthers don't realize that LIHOP and MIHOP are mutually contradictory...

This movie is just as bad as Loose Change; it's a mixture of the usual BS from the Troofers: Quote mining ("Set up to fail"), selective presentation of facts, and bizarre interpretations (Norm Mineta's testimony about a shoot-down order becoming a stand-down order, for example).
Stewart replies:

My presentation focuses on the "lowest common denominator" evidence of official complicity, which I stated clearly in the video, does not exclude the possibility that some suspects participated in the planning of the attack. But their usual debunker tactic of presenting LIHOP and MIHOP as incompatible simply presents another false excuse to dismiss evidence prior to examination. Notice how all 21 exhibits I presented are simply ignored as "same old Truther BS."
Pat's claim that Stewart is quote mining the 9/11 Commissioners, as to suggest that they agree with our case, is the real logical fallacy.

As the Washington Post reported in August 2006:

Suspicion of wrongdoing ran so deep that the 10-member commission, in a secret meeting at the end of its tenure in summer 2004, debated referring the matter to the Justice Department for criminal investigation, according to several commission sources...

"We to this day don't know why NORAD [the North American Aerospace Command] told us what they told us," said Thomas H. Kean, the former New Jersey Republican governor who led the commission. "It was just so far from the truth. . . . It's one of those loose ends that never got tied."
Kean admitted they were lied to and he didn't know why, he can think they got it right in the end all he wants, but his comment and many similar ones made by other members of the commission just proves that we need a new investigation that will tie the "loose ends."

When viewed in conjunction with the preponderance of evidence supporting a deliberate NORAD stand-down, his statement does support this contention, no matter if cognitive dissonance blinds him to this fact, or whatever the case may be.

As to Pat's second point, here is the Norman Mineta case in a nutshell as previously explained by Stewart on this blog:

According to the testimony of Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta, Dick Cheney not only lied about the time he arrived at the PEOC bunker, but he knew for at least 10 minutes beforehand about Flight 77 heading for the Pentagon yet refused to try to warn the Pentagon or intercept the Flight. While debunkers and the mainstream press continue to misquote Mineta, saying he was referring to Flight 93, Mineta has repeatedly clarified he was speaking of Flight 77. Many believe this to be evidence of a "Stand Down" order.

Again, the statements of this very 9/11 commissioner seem to support our argument on the issue and definitely support our overall argument that what is truly bunk is the official 9/11 story. Pat's Jedi nemesis Jon Gold explains:

As we all know, Norman Mineta's testimony was never investigated or mentioned in the 9/11 Report. You would think that the "young man" that was involved in such an important moment during the 9/11 attacks would be named, and brought before the 9/11 Commission. He was not.

This clip is from C-SPAN's 5/26/2005 taping of the "Washington Journal". The caller clearly states that at the time the Pentagon was hit, Cheney was aware of the incoming plane according to Norman Mineta's testimony. At the end of this segment, Lee Hamilton says that Cheney was "in the key position at the time". Prior to that, he said that "the Vice President was in the operation room", and "when the impact did occur." To me, this sounds like Lee Hamilton just confirmed Norman Mineta's testimony.

Gold adds:
Apparently, Lee waited a while before he actually read the report. However, he ADMITS that "we do not really know what the Vice President really did." Newsweek reported that Cheney was picked up by the Secret Service at 9:35, but does write that, "a source close to the commission, who declined to be identified revealing sensitive information, says that none of the staffers who worked on this aspect of the investigation believed Cheney's version of events."

Why is this acceptable? Guess what? It's not.
Pat states there is "no basis in reality" for believing that if a new investigation proved the LIHOP case correct that it would force the end of the wars and a repeal of the Patriot Act.

So let me get this straight, proving that the government consciously allowed 9/11 to happen could not force a reexamination and abandonment of the resulting foreign and domestic policy? I fail to see any basis for that. I do agree with Pat however when he states:

"If you accept LIHOP, then that still means there are dangerous terrorists in the world, right?"

Indeed, Debunking the Debunkers blog contributor Scootle Royale previously admitted this in his entry "What I learned from 9/11 debunkers," when he pointed out that:
We should all fear terrorists. 3000 people were killed in major a terrorist attack in 2001, 200 in 2002, 200 in 2004, 50 in 2005, 200 in 2006 and 180 in 2008. That's about 4000 people in 8 years! Terrorism is the greatest threat to the people of this world - not cancer or AIDs or heart disease which kills millions a year, not world poverty which kills 30,000 children a day, not those wars we are fighting in the name of these terrorist attacks which have killed over a million Iraqis since 2003 and tens of thousands of British and American soldiers. Fighting terrorism should be our number one priority.

After staring at this quote for a while , it starts to make a little sense .

But , everyone's perception is different and I'm not gonna' explain what I think of this quote . It's different through each and every one's eye .

Anyways . Speaking of intelligence , I find that most Malaysians are quite intelligent . Although deep down we are trying our best to quell the rumors that Singaporeans are much more smarter than us , truth is ..

We failed badly and yes , they are a more intelligent bunch of humanoids .

However , there are some Malaysians that walk among us that have the IQ or general intelligence of a rat . I can still remember clearly back then , I was 15 years old ..

We had a quiz , we were given an atlas and we were supposed to fill in the blanks with the correct names of countries . Yes , I knew the atlas really well and I gave my full concentration in completing the task . However , my concentration was short lived as I turned to the guy next to me .

The part where it's supposed to be " Africa " , he cleverly wrote " United Kingdom " .

I mean , first of all .. Africa is a continent of its own and its way down there . United Kingdom consists of England , Ireland and Scotland ( if I'm correct ) and is way up there .

Two , very different countries with different cultures , people and of course , dental hygiene and he gets that one wrong . But the funny thing is , he manages to answer one question correct ; an unknown country that is not farmiliar even to the likes of the class teacher nor me .

I laughed so hard at that time without a care in the world . And after everything's been settled down , I stared into blank space wondering whether if he's the smart one , or are we the dumb ones .

In conclusion , intelligence really is different depending on each and everyone of us . Intelligence must be searched and owned as it doesn't come freely to you and well .. intelligence is power !

You know what they say ..

A pen is mightier than a sword .

It's been ages since I've post a Whose Line Is It Anyway video . Anyways , here's one where the cast of WLIIA acts out the game ' Hats ' .

It's a really easy game and for those of you who do not know how this game goes , it goes a little bit something like this .

By using different hats , they must come up with the ' world's worst dating service video ' . Usually during this game , they will say something ( usually it's all about sex and stuff ) and they wear a hat that gives out the same meaning towards what they wanted to say .

This game goes really fast between actors and that's why it's only two minutes long . It's really worth watching . (:

I mean hey , it's all about the improv .

After watching this video , you'll understand what I'm trying to say .

It's the most brilliant version of ' hats ' I've ever seen .

Flea Market: Junk or Treasure

I never understood those Designing for the Sexes shows until I got married. I’ll never forget the day Nick moved in and suddenly all of my things that resembled shabby chic, were packed in boxes on their way to St. Vincent de Paul. No more pastels and frilly prints. I was forced to move on to geometric prints and gender neutral colors. Although it took Nick and I some time to get into our decorating groove, we eventually got there and now we both can confidently buy things for our apartment knowing the other person will love it just as much

Although it’s been 3 years since my apartment was “girly,” I still can’t resist the urge to go to the flea market. Needless to say, I forgot to think about the above statement last Sunday when I was at the flea market. Husband wasn’t happy when I came home with this treasure:
.

In my defense it does have a geometric feel. What sold me was the amazing circle pattern. Although the chair needs some work, I love the faded Robin Egg color and I even don’t mind the octagon cream fabric. Husband thinks I should paint it brown (aka gender neutral) and recover the chair cushion with a rich fabric. What do you think?

I also scored these amazing vintage hand painted watercolor prints from a Japanese artist. Again, clearly I forgot my own house rules as these are very feminine, however I think once they are matted they could look great in a dining room or office.

Lastly, with market starting this week, I had to get my “Accessorizing On.” When it comes to jewelry, I’ve always gravitated to unique vintage things. At the flea market you can find some wonderful statement pieces for an incredible price. How’s the best way to get yourself noticed as an artist?

Use a broad range of styles or one unique style?
Recently, I’ve spent far too many hours wondering how to promote myself. I’ve come to a conclusion my problem is direction. Specifically the lack of it!
I enjoy creating art, and I love to experiment with new things, so the tendency has been to be a “Jack of all trades”. But this leads to confusion amongst the art buying public. Or so I understand from what I’ve read and learned from other sources.
How can you be recognised for a style if your “style” keeps changing? Now, if you put it like that, it all makes sense! Doesn’t it?
Do one thing…
do it lots…
and do it really, really, really well!
Conclusion? I need to focus on the art I’m good at and not worry about repeating myself. well not too much, anyway.
I have a dilemma then! What is “MY style”? Looking back at my work. A style seems to have emerged…
And I think this one sums it up quite nicely.
Emotional support
It’s a piece I created in February but struggled to name. “Head over heels” possibly.  “Stricken to the core” no, it’s about love and stricken isn’t right. “Truly, madly deeply” Hmm, that’s a film isn’t it? “The power of love” – song title,
No wait, it’s 3
this one
this one
and this one?
“Emotional support” - I think I’ll go with that for now. Something better might evolve but it’s fine for a working title. Please add a comment if you do have any suggestions.
So, where am I headed with the artwork? Oh, I think one style has to be the way!
You should always do what you know and do it well!

Contemporary art alive in Buckingham – New gallery opening

Buckingham is not known for it’s modernity. Having a town centre which has changed little since Georgian times. So imagine my delight when a Contemporary Art Gallery opened last year. Ginny Gray Gallery. And, what’s more, they feature local artists! Major plus in my book. Ginny Gray.

And now, Ginny and Rob Gray the proprietors, have opened a second gallery Yellow Kite gallery. More joy! Well Ginny seems to be happy here!

The opening was today and I popped along for a mooch. I was delighted with the informal atmosphere. I often feel awkward in galleries so it’s important to me the vibe is right.Bronze at Yellow Kite Gallery

They seem to have managed that.

OK, before you ask, I’m not on commission here! No one is paying me to publicise the gallery, I just really liked it. And I don’t have any artwork there!

I was seriously tempted by a couple of pieces…maybe when funds allow? But until then I’ll just drool.

This bronze (left) caught my eye, as did some rather lovely glass pieces. One by a local artist called Twls Johnson (Ammonite scene). I love her work, but I struggle to say her name. It’s Welsh if you need to work it out!

There was glasswork by Vitreus Art which I liked and paintings  by Susie Grindley (I found this link to an exhibition of her work) a mixture of paintings with a little needlework.

I could go on but just check out Yellow Kite gallery for more information.

I leave you with another of my favourite sculptures from the gallery.

Toxic

So yeah I made it thru yesterday. Left the library and talked to a dear friend of mine and headed to Nina afterwards. I wonder which pub/club/bar was left out yesterday because I can even recall being in a GayClub ("Toxic").

I solemnly swear not to drink until July..or until the footie World Championships . I am even leaving my birthday out.

History Repeats Itself

So I've just finished watching a repeat of the History Channel's documentary "The 9/11 Conspiracies: Fact or Fiction?" And I basically felt the same thing I usually feel when I watch this particular piece: disgust. This documentary has always had a special significance with me, because it was this very piece that got me interested into researching 9/11. And to this day I still believe it is the most biased and slimy propaganda piece ever put out attacking the 9/11 Truth Movement. I find it both funny and sad that they actually aired this piece again. Funny because many of the debunking attempts in the piece have themselves long been debunked (particularly the section on Building 7, where almost every argument they brought up has been discredited by NIST itself; damage, fuel tanks, etc.) And sad because I know that the average person will watch this piece and probably think the Truth Movement is made up of some of the worst people in the world. Here is a not widely seen episode of the INN World Report that took on the History Channel's lies, exposing some of their dirty propaganda tricks and allowing some of those interviewed the chance to talk about several issues that were not addressed in the piece.

Hopefully the American people will learn to see through these kinds of dishonest attacks and smear campaigns and learn what the real truth is.

.....nel viaggio insieme

Library and me. Italiano e la mia persona. Nothing else. Three milion possibilities to go out tonight and see the brighter side but I still do not know. I thought it would be easier, but this time of the year makes it unbearable at the moment...

.... nel viaggio insieme.

The LIHOP Case against Cheney and Bush

After more than a year of researching and editing together short clips, I have finished an hour long presentation reviewing the best evidence that key members of the Bush Administration were, at the very least, aware of the coming 9/11 attack and allowed it to happen for political reasons.

Topics include the Afghan pipeline project, the 2000 election theft, wargame drills, changes in hijack interception protocols, missing Pentagon funds, obstruction of the 9/11 investigation, and much, much more.

I need to point out that this video does not exclude the possibility that certain suspects may have been involved in the actual orchestration of the attack as well, ( MIHOP ), but here we focus on complicity which is still an act of treason.

Hello my fellow readers .

Due to an unforeseen sickness and a series of very serious illness , I was away most of the time and was unable to attend school , tuition or any other strenuous activities like tennis or badminton .

I spent most of my time recuperating on my bed in my room with truck loads of medicine that I have to consume daily . Furthermore , all of them tasted like crap ( not that I expect them to taste sweet )

And while I was in my bed , this really gave me the time to do some serious soul searching about what has recently happened . Truthfully , I have also given some thought about my past .

All the weird but wonderful events that really has taken its toll and shaped up the Jaden we have all come to know and love .

Whilst I was recovering , I could not help but think about my fellow readers who most probably are dying in anticipation , waiting for me to update my blog but failed to do so . It's not that I do not have the time or anything but ..

For the past few days , the moment I stare into the computer .. everything just spins and I feel so dizzy . It can't be helped .

Alas , after consuming medication that's able to fill up an Olympic sized swimming pool I am now ready to blog like a normal human being once again !

But , there will be no more late night blogging for me . The doctor says that I need to get at least 7 hours of sleep every night . How ... delightful huh ?

Screw you Dr Phil ..

*****************

Today ! It was indeed a hectic day . Full of fun , excitement , activities and most importantly .. life .

It's one of those days where your school authorities decided that their school compound isn't dirty enough , so they allow us to run a Canteen Day to mess the whole place up .

It really was a brilliant idea and everything was going swell until the moment Jaden stepped into the school area and Pn Teo could immediately feel the chill going down her spine . I know she regrets allowing this to happen now ..

Anyways ! I helped out a little at my class stall . The class was divided into two groups , I guess and most of us turned up , surprisingly .

It's one of those days where the attendance of the Canteen Day overrules the ones of the examination month by 50 percent . Everyone was having fun though , no matter if their stuck selling cakes in the mud or having to deal with crazy people who would pay to play really ' sohai ' games such as miniature golf in the class rooms .

But what's the point of naming it Canteen Day when the people who work at the Canteen doesn't work at all ?

Perhaps its a day where they get the day off instead . Gives us a feeling of what it's like selling food in ginormous proportions to hungry , pissed off , sweaty bastards .

Or maybe the workers working at the canteen were operating as usual . Maybe , they were outsold by the competitions . And I might add the fact that the competition was tough . Really tough .

They were people selling cakes , chicken rice , spaghetti bolognaise , soups , sausages , chicken wings , grilled prawns , mashed potatoes , potato salads , fruits galore and lots more ! There were cold drinks , hot drinks , cold and hot drinks , cold or hot drinks and there even was a drink where if one drinks it , well .. let's just say you'll end up stark-naked , mugged and you can't remember why there is a pencil shoved up your ass .

Forgive my language . As I've said before , it can't be helped .

Back at my workplace , it was chaotic as ever . I wasn't surprised when they chose the theme ' Alice In Wonderland ' . It was a good theme .

Everyone was wearing really cool hats . The ones I would wear ! And there really was a Mad Hatter in the class . But she wasn't mad rather , insane . She's the boss of the whole operation and she went a little bit overboard with her Mad Hatter character . Okay maybe not a little bit .. a whole lot !

I mean , she took the Mad Hatter role to a whole new level ! A level where children cry and adults wet their pants at the sight of their beloved hat-fetish psychopath . I mean , you might as well name the theme ' Alice Who Should Have Not Gone to Wonderland ' instead . It's level 5 of Doom , I'm telling you .

Ahh yes . Behold . One of God's most upholded and greatest creations of all time . Who knew ? This powdery white substance which almost looks and taste like crystal meth which most people and chefs use to cook with can be used as an item to smoothen the surface abit , or as a war tool in the everyday food fight .

Yes people , I'm talking about flour . And there was flour flying everywhere throughout that classroom . Generous amounts of flour has been scattered all over the class with people not caring about their hygiene , nor safety .

Damn , you can choke a horse with the amount of flour thrown at that time . Speaking of horses , there were horse rides too ! Oh , how I would love to kick one of those mammals in the backside and tell them , " stop complaining " .

And my God ... Zhi Ying , one of the giants of Form Four , decided to play the game to which I was stationed at . It requires you to wear a slipper , using only your foot , you have to fling the slipper into one of the three holes .

But no one , foresaw what would literally change the ambiance of the class for like , 10 seconds..

She kicked the slipper , it flew up high and directly hit the pendaflour lights , causing them to crash all the way down into a million pieces .

Everyone looked in horror . Not knowing what to do , I screamed ..

For that , you win 50 points .

Thank God . The awkwardness was immediately dispersed . But I stood there and wonder the fact that I couldn't believe that ordeal happened . I mean , how .. could it have happened ?

Was it possible in terms of physics and logic ? Perhaps , the fag who made E=MC2 forgotten a little something ?

But surprisingly , that pathetic excuse for a game really brought in lots of noobs from the younger forms . Which means , it wasn't really all that deserted . It was , pretty busy .

Somehow , a strong psionic power from nowhere prevented me from taking any pictures of the glorious event . But I'm sure the Khala's Light is strong within me and with blessings from Adun , I managed to blog out almost anything and everything today .

And you thought the Vietnamese people were crazy , think again .

I'm pretty sure there would not be Canteen Day 2011 ! With all the mess and destruction produced , I'm pretty sure this event is blocked out from the history of SMK USJ 12 . None shall speak of it ever again .

Although , even though this whole ordeal was a complete disaster with chaos to top it off with , I think I have bonded even more with my friends . Jet was a great guy , lovely character with a funny sense of humor . A big thanks to Jasmine and Daalila for stopping by at our once-beautiful school , now wrecked and forever in my mind doomed to fail any cleanliness competitions . And Anton .. well . He's busy with things and I'm pretty busy as well . Aaron , Terence and Desmond were all there too . Stalking girls and what not .

Ashman , well .. dying to go home early . Joel , Chia Yung , Lisa and Yi Mann whose initial attempts to sell me their bubbletea failed terribly ( sorry guys ) . And last but not least , Chloe . Short as hell .

But , the list goes on and on ! I fear that if I write them all down I might suffer from Carpal Tunnel Syndrom . Wouldn't want that , would we ?

So I guess it doesn't matter whether or not the event takes a turn for the good or bad . It doesn't matter if a deranged psycho goes around stabbing people with blood gushing from every part of his victim's body parts .

No . I learnt that it's the people whom you share the moment with that really counts . Whether it's old friends , new friends , girlfriends or boyfriends .. Just as long as you have somebody there to say a simple hello or give you a friendly whack on the back , it's good enough for most of us I guess .

Call me old fashion , but that's the way it is .

And that's how it should be .

******************

Now that we've successfully cleared that part out , here's a song for you guys .

It's a beautiful song by Celine Dion called ' Pour Que Tu M'Aimes Encore ' . Orginally , it was written and produced by Jean-Jacques Goldman and now it's one of Celine's signature songs .

The song title means , So That You Will Love Me Again .

The lyrics tell of a woman who had constantly rejected a man who once had romantic feelings for her, but is now regretting that decision, and wants a second chance at romance.

And yes people , it's French . Don't bother understanding it . You never will .

******************

Rant and rant on I go .

Sometimes I need a timer to know when to stop blogging .

It's the after-effect of the Canteen Day . It's a killer , I tell you .

So , I hope you guys enjoy what I've blogged about today as much as I enjoy typing my hearts out for you .

See you guys around .

Signing off ,

- Jaden -
