Sports Tale

I dedicate this post to the more recent sports news that occurs on our planet Earth ! I am really , really surprised , not to mention shocked by the sports news that popped up on the Internet .

It's like , the world has been spurred into confusion . The mixture of creme' de la creme' with the creme' de la ritz . Salt without pepper . Macaroni without cheese . Billy without Bob . Really .. I don't have much to say about the sports recently and I am here to tell you all about it !

Let's start off with our very own ..


National Sports !
We've witnessed the exits of our very own Datuk Lee Chong Wei from the Hyderabad Championships a few days ago .

Apparently , it's a very prestigious championship as many star players like Korean Lee Yong-Dae , Indonesia's Sony Dwi Kuncuro , Denmark's Peter Gade Christensen and China's Lin Dan participated to shuttle their way to victory .

Today ! Malaysia's campaign in winning the World Championships in Hyderabad came to a stop as our last , and only hope ( the doubles team ) was ' shuttled ' out of the championship . Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong were overpowered by Korean Lee Yong-dae-Jung Jae-sung while Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari-Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif lost to former world champions Cai Yun-Hai Feng of China .

I don't have much to say about our national doubles team . But , I'm not surprised that our beloved Lee Chong Wei lost . He has no consistency at all and get this ..

Misbun Sidek ( his coach ) revealed that Chong Wei burst into tears and kept to himself and even turned down food after his defeat . How big of a national wuss can he be ?
I mean , I understand the feeling of losing in an important competition but that's no excuse to turn down food ! Food is life , people ! If you lose a game , keep trying .
That's what R . Federer has done and it turned out quite well for him!

Misbun also said that his hands and body were cold after the one hour-long battle against Indonesia's Sony Dwi Kuncoro . I mean , if you can't take the heat , stay out of the kitchen right ? In this case , for Chong Wei , if you can't take the cool , stay out of the North Pole , I guess . Getting cold feet , refusing to eat after his defeat .. what a butt-crack .

Might as well throw in Chef Wan as our national shuttler . That way he can win us a medal using nothing but his frying pan . And maybe , he can cook the entire audience something to eat while he is playing.

World Sports !
Football .

Can you believe it ? Arsenal gunned down Everton with a smashing 6-1 score ! Although I have no respect to football at all , this really proves to differ . Any team , any team at all that are able to score that much no matter the opponent deserves my respect .
Meanwhile , Chelsea defeated Hull with a 2-1 final score .

I was a Chelsea fan until I met Roger , but even with my support goes to Roger I still care about what's going on with Chelsea . Chelsea forever , right ? Anyways , I guess this is a good start for Chelsea to a new and fresh EPL season under a so-far-so-good manager , Carlo Ancelotti .
Besides that , Chelsea is ready to spend gigantic 42mil Euros for Madrid's star , Sergio Aguero . Billionaire owner Roman Abramovich wants to give new boss Ancelotti a big-name signing .
Unfortunately , Aguero is most likely going to turn down the offer and tell Chelsea they must match the 50mil Euros get-out clause for hot-shot Aguero , 21 .

Roman's so rich that even a mansion at Park Avenue would seem like nothing to him .



Tennis .

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal both were knocked out at the Montreal Masters . The Swiss lost to France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga by a dramatic 7-6 , 1-6 , 7-6 comeback win . Rafael Nadal on the other hand , was defeated by Argentina's Juan Martin Del Potro by a clinical 7-6 6-1 win .

Rafael Nadal might lose his world number two rank if Britain's Andy Murray , who cruised to a 6-2 , 6-4 quarter final victory over Nikolay Davydenko of Russia , can reach today's final . Del Potro advanced and faces American ace , Andy Roddick , who booked his spot in the final four with a 6-4 , 7-6 win over fourth seed , Novak Djokovic of Serbia .

It's really interesting to see how things can change in just a wink , doesn't it ?
