A fundraiser has been planned for the family of Jaclyn Torrealba,


Torrealba, 18, had just started her undergraduate studies at Florida International University, where she was interested in studying law and politics. She attended G. Holmes Braddock high school in Miami, where she was a member of the debate team and a top student, as per her parents and friends.

Up-and-coming Miami record-spinner, Carlos Portieles, aka DJ Seasunz, told police he choked Torrealba to death after the two got into an argument on Sunday, Oct. 11, then drove around town with her dead body in the passenger seat, according to the arrest warrant. He has been charged with second-degree murder.

In Twitter there is news that a girl Jaclyn Torrealba has been missing in Miami since 2 am Saturday night (ie, Sunday morning). 18 year Jaclyn Torrealba was last seen at the Space Night Club in the city.


It is also rumored that popular Miami club dj DJ Seasunz has surrendered to police in the beating death of 18-year-old girlfriend Jaclyn Torrealba.



According to the Miami Herald, a man entered into a police station Sunday night, lead police to a body in his car and surrendered to authorities for the murder. Nobody has identified victimpublicly, Twitter users and commenters on the article reporting confirmation from Torrealba’s family that she is the victim in this case.

DJ Seasunz’s Facebook page has no comments or update, and there is no official word that Torrealba has died, but many Miami locals are posting memorial tweets and condolences to the Torrealba family. We will update with details as they become available.
