Crib Recall

The Consumer Product Safety Commission is going to announce what is thought to be one of the largest crib recalls. The cribs with dropdown sides, will be affected by the expected recall.
The specific models are not yet known. Its not be the first time that cribs with dropdown sides have been recalled. In the previous two years, five million cribs have been recalled and the CPSC are now considering a complete ban on cribs with the dropsown sides.
The most recent recall was last year when Delta Enterprises had to recall 1.6 million of their older cribs with the drop-down sides, this was because two infants lost their lives. The problem was due to safety pegs either dropping out or becoming worn.
The reason why infants’ lives are put at risk is because their heads can get stuck in the dropdown side, this would then cause the child to choke. This is just want happened to 10-month old Tyler Jonathan.
