Hello my fellow readers !

It's the last post for this month and I'm bracing myself for the madness that's in store in the following month !

I'll call it , Jackass July .

Why ? Well . For starters , there's yet another exam that awaits me and all of my fellow friends in school . And as you all should know by now I seriously do hate exams . Well , our studies in school which are exam-oriented can most likely kill off half of this society's children due to brain cancer or they will more or less hang themselves with a g-string with all the bloody stress and tension in their heads .

Although all bad things are sure to have something good out of it .

Since the Muslims are celebrating Ramadhan whereby they feast for the entire day and break feast only at night , the school schedual are finally becoming more and more sensible . I mean , going back at 2.30pm on Mondays are a complete nuisance . Leaves me no time for rest as I will be attending Additional Mathematics tuition at 5.30 .

So yeah , shorter schooling hours and great foods offered at the bazaar . What's that old saying .. killing two birds with a stone ?

Wow , come to think of it this is the one and only time where I can full-heartedly and lovingly thank our Muslim counterparts .

But , there is another thing that's been bothering me for the past few weeks . I am currently scouting for a new phone as I am about to turn 17 next year and my current phone that I am using is already 4 years old which means it is absolutely , obsulete .

Although my current Sony Erricson k530i has been through bittersweet memories and has priceless sentimental value , I think it's time I let go of it and move on with a new phase . A new phase of my life , you could say . But parting with my old phone is not the stress-bringer ..

Choosing a new one is .




I cannot make up my mind of choosing either a smart Sony Erricson Vivaz , state-of-the-art Sony Erricson XPeria or a simple yet elegant Sony Erricson Hazel .

All three of these handphones offer me quite a number of services/advantages to which I could really use of . And as you might have noticed , I did not mention ( not even one ) phone of the Nokia brand nor Samsung . This is because I simply do not believe in Nokia phones . When it comes to camera quality and music , Sony Erricson just beats them all to a pulp .

Meet contender number three by the name of Sony Ericsson Hazel , also known as GreenHeart . Sony Ericsson Hazel offers consumers a green choice without compromising on features or fun . Hazel also give consumers a better voice quality experience , with Noise Shield that I really find useful , Clear Voice and Intelligent Volume Adaptation . Other features include 5MP camera , a GPS , Bluetooth and WiFi .

It costs roughly around RM 750-900 bucks which is within my range and is a reasonable amount of cash that I'm willing to pay . It also has Facebook , Youtube , Twitter and MySpace applications , 3G and it has a LED Flash for the camera's use .

All of these options fit the bill HOWEVER there have been many complaints that this newly released phone will be be facing a lot of problems in terms of function . They say that the phone's software is new and needs to be upgraded or what not and that really scares me a lot . I mean , imagine paying RM 800 for a phone that cannot access 3G or Facebook and so on . So , what's the damn point of buying it if you can't use the applications in the end ?










Ah , the ever stylish yet smart looking handphone that mesmerizes the hearts of every living soul on Earth . And then , there's Sony Ericsson Vivaz .

What makes this handphone so tempting to me is that it adds a QWERTY keyboard to the touch screen offering , delivering a user experience optimized for messaging and entertainment . In other words , it's a touchscreen mini-computer .

Again like most Sony phones , it comes with 3G , Bluetooth , GPRS , and a whopping 8MP camera that will be able to take the contents of your eyeballs . It has auto-focus , LED flash and of course the ever important video flash which means no more low quality homemade porn for you . One can also access Facebook and Twitter and all sorts with this phone and it's internal memory consists of 75MB storage .

Now , here's the catches of the phone . I've been scouting around and most dealers are selling this phone at RM 1000-1200 . Which again is somewhere around my range but the thing about this phone is , I don't think I am ready to use a touch-screen handphone just yet . I mean , my sister has a touchscreen handphone too and look where it's headed to .. the dustbin . Besides , tapping the screen of your phone while eating Nandos isn't the most brilliant thing you can do .

Other than that , I've heard from different sources confirming one thing .. that this phone uses a standard battery which means , after a long day of using the Facebook , Youtube applications on your phone , it will die instantly . I've heard worse rumors that even if you do not use it at all , the battery will die in a day as well ( I hate these circumstances ) . So that's pretty much the catch .














Last but not least , Sony Ericsson XPeriaX10 .

Now before I go on let me just tell you guys that this phone of Ericsson might easily be one of the more accomplished versions of cellphones in the history of mankind .

This phone's got anything and everything a person might possibly need , you name it . It's got a staggering 8MP camera with autofocus and LED flash , of course 3G services and various applications ready for use , 1GB memory storage , Google Search, Maps, Gmail,
YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk , Facebook and Twitter integration and a document viewer for those busy , busy businessmen .

With a scratch resistant surface , digital compass , MP3/4 player , face and smile detection for adds , what more could a person ask for ?

However , there are various downsides regarding this phone .

Besides the fact that I do not do well with touchscreen phones , this phone that has the ability to play God only comes with a standard battery which means you can only play God for only so long. Besides that , this phone is pretty much way out of my league in terms of price as this phone can fetch me up to RM 1800 .

And lastly , let's think rationally . I'm only 16 , and would I want to spend so much money on a phone that costs me my birthday , Chinese New Year , few months savings and a quarter loan from either my mum or sister ? Besides , there are some features in this phone that I may not even fully utilize for example , the GPS . Heck , I don't have a car nor a bike . My bike broke down God knows how long ago .

Thus I am at a lost .
A three-way junction to which there will be no return of once chosen .

Therefore , do drop in some of your own opinions .
Don't be shy . I'll be more frustrated if you don't .

I've watched quite a number of movies this month to which are quite interesting and yet thought-provoking .

However , there are only two , specific movies that I am about to share with you guys today !


The first one ..

Angels and Demons
An ancient secret brotherhood ,

In a breathtaking race against time , Harvard professor Robert Langdon
must decipher a labyrinthine trail of ancient symbols if

presumed extinct for nearly four hundred years , reborn to continue their
deadly vendetta against their most hated enemy , the Catholic Church .

After watching the movie and discovering a lot of secrets , it raises a lot of questions regarding the Catholic Church that exists here today . Could what we saw in the movie have a resemblance to the priests and cardinals of the Vatican City today ? That , we will never know .

However , the genius and brilliance of this thought-provoking movie has once again managed to grab the attention of this movie lover . I am patiently waiting for the next sequel to come out ( if there ever will be one ) . But funny thing though , they made this movie a sequel to the Da Vinci Code where this movie should be the prequel instead .

Despicable Me
Superbad , superdad .

The story is of a supervillian named Gru who plans to use three orphan girls as pawns for a grand scheme , only to find that their innocent love is profoundly changing him .

The film stars Steve Carell , Jason Segel , Russel Brand , Julie Andrews , Will Arnett , Kirsten Wiig and Miranda Crosgrove . With Hans Zimmer as one of the composers for the songs in this 3-D animated movie , this movie has has garnered considerably critical and financial success .

What makes this movie ridiculously funny is that the additional casts of Gru's yellow minions . They work for him but yet do not speak English ( I assume they speak gibberish ) and they will have scenes where the yellow things will let out an addictive laugh and they will often slap each other because of one another's stupidity .

But most of my friends agree that the best scene is where they sit on one of the most outrageous rollercoasters I have ever seen . They put you as one of the passangers of the roller coaster , which rises way up high and plummets down at roughly a 90 degree angle . I too agree that scene was exhilarating .




Therefore , I rate the two movies above a whopping ,

9/10 !
