The man above .. well . He's known world-wide till even today . Known for the genocide of millions of Jews in Poland , a well and outspoken person that is able to mobilize one of the biggest armies ( in Germany ) made known to history of mankind and of course , his smooth combed haircut with the ever attractive moustache that resembles more or like a square-shaped box of doom .

I guess if you are going down in history as a mad and evil dictator bent on world domination , you might just want to have an appearance that everyone will remember for as long as they live . I mean , if today he were to be your neighbor I'm pretty sure that moustache of his is the first and last thing you will be thinking of tonight .

The reason why I posted something about this villain here is because I've watched two movies regarding Operation Walkure and it's protagonist , Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg .



Colonel Stauffenberg and several other officers under Hitler plotted an attempt to assassinate the Fuhrer himself and also seize Berlin from the SS , Gestapo and Nazi . But how ?

Well . Colonel Stauffenberg used Operation Valkyrie which was originally designed as an emergency continuity of goverment operations plan developed in Nazi Germany for the Territorial Reserve Army of Germany to execute and implement in case of a general breakdown in civil order of the nation . In other words ,

If Hitler were to be killed , say , the Territorial Reserve Army will seize control of the SS , Gestapo and Nazis . But why seize control of these three groups ?

Well , because Hitler thought that one day a coup ( attempt to take control of power ) will be staged and this operation apparently protects the goverment just in case if a coup were to happen .

The attempt to kill Hitler and seize Germany using Operation Walkure was known as the July 20 Plot .

This brave attempt was the last plot known of seizing Germany and killing Hitler . After being arrested , at around midnight , Colonel Stauffenberg , General Friedrich Olbricht , Albrecht Mertz von Quirnheim and others were executed while General Ludwig Beck was allowed by the pro-Hitler officers to commit suicide . Eventually , some 5,000 people were arrested and 200 were followingly executed as well .


If you fellow readers still do not understand a damn thing I've just typed here , try watching Valkyrie ( 2008 ) starring Tom Cruise as Colonel Stauffenberg or The Plot To Kill Hitler ( 1990 ) . These two very similar movies tells the tale of the heroic attempt to release Germany from Hitler's grasp .

Andy Murray believes Roger Federer has lost his air of invincibility ,

although he insists a decline of some kind was inevitable .

Roger Federer has won a record 16 Grand Slam titles with the most recent coming at the australian Open earlier this year, since when quarter-final defeats in Paris and Wimbledon have seen him lose the number one ranking.

His loss to Tomas Berdych in the last eight at SW19 even saw him momentarily slip to third in the world order for the first time since 2002.

But with Federer now 29 years of age and with more of his career behind rather than ahead of him , Andy Murray- who defeated the Swiss in the final of the Rogers Cup on Sunday - says a decline is apparent for all to see .

"He's always very tough to beat,"

"It's just that , because of how good he was in every tournament three or four years ago -

and it's very difficult to be that consistent throughout your whole career -

it's normal that he's lost a little bit the last few years . "

Murray told The Guardian .

However , Federer knows talk of a decline is inevitable following a disappointing summer, but says he can still cut it with the best .

"I had a wonderful summer last year with (winning) the

French Open and Wimbledon , which wasn't the case this year , " he said.

" But last year after the Australian Open when I lost against Nadal , people were also talking about how I was on a huge decline . I cried on center court at the Australian Open , which was a big tragedy for many people . "
