What I should have said...

I linked to a story the other day on Facebook about a site in which you write letters to people saying what you wish you had said before when you had the chance. So, allow me to take my stab at this notion (which, by the way, I wish I had come up with, but you know – hindsight’s 20/20). Feel free to add your own.

I am using initials to (somewhat) protect the innocent. As such, some might seem they are aimed at people they are not. Trust me, if it’s you (which none of these are directly addressed to any of my readers – at least not the ones I know about anyway), you’ll know.

Dear J.B.,
You are an asshole. Oh, and your name isn’t unique, it’s stupid.
Sincerely,
Me

--
Dear J.R.,
You are an asshole.
Sincerely,
Me
(J.R. is not in reference to my stepdad, so don’t think that, okay!)

--
Dear R.H.
You are (well, were) an asshole. Of course, you already knew that, everyone called you that.
Sincerely,
Me

--
Dear J.M.,
You’re a bitch. But you should have kept him, you were a perfect match for each other.
Sincerely,
Me

--
Dear N.W.,
You’re an asshole. Shape up and realize what a great wife and kid you’ve got.
Sincerely,
Me (on behalf of M.W.)

Wow – I feel so much better already!
