Random morning musings

This morning I’ve got a bunch of random things running through my head, so please bear with the following schizophrenic post.

Random musing #1:
Schizophrenic was actually not the correct adjective. Schizophrenia is actually a disconnect from reality. When you’re talking about multiple personalities, you’re talking Multiple Personality Disorder. But “…so please bear with the following MPD-style post” just doesn’t sound as good. The reason schizophrenic is often used to descript split personalities is because many schizophrenics also suffer from multiple personalities – and given the fact schizophrenia is a disconnect with reality, it makes sense. Just want to clarify that.

Random musing #2:
No Evos in the state of Kentucky. Are you kidding me?

So we went to Best  Buy last night. Poor girl, it was her first day and she’s like, “We have Evos.” Scott and I both got a little excited – but it was false hope, because she knew they had them on display, but was unaware they were sold out. (Apparently the poor girl doesn’t pay attention to news or anything – because even though it was her first day, she should have known that. I don’t even work there and I knew they were out of stock.)

Next stop, the Sprint Store, where we were told they had them, but they were filling a waiting list. Could we get on the waiting list? Nope. They closed it. The waiting list is about two weeks long. After that, no more waiting list – first come, first served. I see a deadly stampede at the Sprint Store in Hamburg in two weeks.

Random musing #3:
Did you hear about this idiot who left her four kids in the car while she shopped? At the Dollar General, no less. She put her four kids’ lives (ranging in age from one-month to nine years) in danger to shop at the Dollar General. Are you kidding me?

In her defense (hahaha!), she left two of the windows down. It was still hotter than hell woman.

Here’s a tip – when you have children, it means you are responsible for them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until they are 18 (and sometimes even long after that). Which means when you go into that crab-nasty Dollar General store on New Circle Road, you TAKE THEM WITH YOU.

Whereas I don’t want to cause any more strain to the state of Kentucky, nor do I want my taxes to go up, but dammit, your children would be in better hands if they were taken away from you. Someone please relieve this woman of her mothering duties ASAP. She obviously doesn’t know how to use a condom, or take care of the children who came as a result.

Oh yeah, after you take her kids away and put them in a nice air-conditioned foster home, lock her in a car outside in the sweltering heat for awhile and see how long it takes before she suffers.

Random musing #4:
Training for the 5K is freakin’ hard. It’s not so much that I can’t do it (although, there’s that too), but because it’s hotter than hell outside so jogging outside’s not an option – and doing intervals on the treadmill is not only hard, it’s dangerous. I almost fell off the treadmill more than once.

Random musing #5:
Will Brett Farve just retire already?

That is all.

That’s it for now … I really probably should do some work. J
