As Edward opens his eyes and reaches for his walkman phone .
He rolls around , feeling heavy-hearted to get out of bed , he finally dragged himself out of the bed and to the bathroom .
" I hate going to school" , he says .
Little does any of his family members know , he just got out of a relationship with Jacklyn .
He experienced the worst break up anyone could ever go through .
For four months , she was Edward's gal' by name only . In truth , Jacklyn has hearts for another guy .
Edward's best friend .
Once the truth was out , Edward was heartbroken and just couldn't look into any of his friends eyes .
Depressed , he was lucky it was than the 2month-holiday term break . He had the rest he needed .
And now , its time for him to go back to school , and face what he couldn't , two months ago .
In school ..
" Krinnnnggg .. "
The bell rang , and Andy , the class monitor tried to aline everyone outside the class .
But everyone just couldn't care . Everyone was too excited and had lots to talk about . Edward , on the other hand , stood quietly against the school banister looking downwards .
"Yo , Edward ! Hows everything ? ", asked cheerful Andy .
" Fine .. You ?
" Fine and dandy , except for the fact everyone doesn't listen to me . "
" Haha , don't worry my friend . Its the first day . Everyones like that. "
Andy smiled , and continued on his quest on taking care of the class .
When the bell rang again , everyone entered .
Edward took his seat at the back of the class . And placed his bag on the table , and lied on it .
The class was as noisy as ever . Andy , Evelyn and Katherine sat at one side of the class and looked at poor , depressed Edward .
They knew what happened . They remembered how bitchy-Jacklyn humiliated him , in front of all his friends .
Out of no where , a girl entered and went up to Andy .
" Is this class , 4 Liszt ? "
" Yea . You' new around here ? ", asked Andy .
" Err , kinda . "
And the new girl walked right to the back of the class , took a seat .
Everyone stared at the new girl . She has beautiful long hair , and a smile that says ' Lets be Friends ! '
Her name , was June .
The teacher , Mrs Solis entered . She was an old lady , but soon she showed kind and understanding nature as a teacher .
" Good morning class , I'm Mrs Solis , your class teacher ."
Mrs Solis took her seat , and began with her class work . Everyone knew she was busy as ever , as mountains of books piled up her table .
" I heard she has 19 cats" , said Katherine jokingly. " 8 more , and she'll be Ms. Solis " .
Edward , looked up and around , seeing Andy , Katherine and Evelyn joking themselves silly .
He continued his agenda , staring into thin air , day-dreaming .
Until , he turned his sights onto June .
Edward's attention was completely on her .
June herself , hasn't made any friends . She tried to be socially active , but without any success .
Everyone thought of her as a loner .
Edward approached June ,
" Hello . "
June looked at Edward , smiled at him without making any eye contact , and replied ,
" Hi . "
Edward took a seat with her , and started a conversation .
" Well , looks like old' Eddy is back ! ", said Andy gleefully .
Months passed by ..
June and Edward were unseperatable .
They sat together , studied together, laughed together .
Many of Edward's friends were relieved to see him back to be himself .
" Valentine's coming up Eddy , who you gonna buy roses for ? " , asked big-nosed Mary .
Edward looked at Mary as if he had never seen anyone with such a big nose before .
" No one. " Edward calmly replied .
Edward turn his eyes to June , who was feeling a bit down after hearing Edward say that .
And she stopped all activities with Edward ,and took out a book and read silently .
Evelyn pulled Edward to one side , without June knowing it .
She than slapped Edward by the shoulder and said , " Why don't you give this years Valentines to June ? "
Edward stared at her .
" June's a good girl , and you're a great guy ! I mean , for crying out loud ! I'd fall for you if you weren't a shy asshole ."
" Really ?" , asked Edward .
" No , I was being sarcastic . But still ... "
" I don't know if I'm the guy for her . And besides , she just doesn't fall for a guy like me ! " , Edward replied loudly.
June , heard part of the conversation .. and smiled .
It was Valentines Day morning .
Everyone was in class , reciting love poems and proposing jokes .
Laughter filled the air .
And boy , did Edward and June had a wonderful time .
The knew how much one loves the other . But neither party could have the guts to speak out their true heart's feelings .
But Edward knew he had to do something . June was not just a girl .
She was the most beautiful person he ever knew . Her smile was heavenly , her laughter could turn the darkest of skies into a bright sunny day .
For once , he felt love again . This time , true love .
"Krinnnnngggggg ! "
It was recess and everyone rushed out the classroom .
" See you later , Edward . "
" Yeah , you too . " , replied Edward .
She smiled sweetly at him , and walked off into the crowd .
Before Edward went for his recess , he slipped a note with a red rose on June's book .
Feeling a sense of accomplishment , he happily ran down the stairway and to the school canteen .
Once recess was over , June was the second person to be in the class . She noticed a white note on her book along with a bright red rose .
She opened the piece of paper , and the note reads ..
" June ,
We've been friends for quite some time . I thought of you more than just a friend . And when two people hang out together , and ..
Well , I like you . A lot .
To be honest , no one has ever made my heart beat fast the way you do . My lips will dry up every time I stare into your eyes .
I'm not the best , but you make me try to be the best . With you around , I have nothing to fear because you do not judge me .
Meet me at the Science Lab after school . I need to see you ..
Love , Edward . "
June finishes the letter , and placed the rose under the table .
Edward enters the class , and instantly knew she had read the note .
Both pretended to be bliss and naive .
Pretending as if neither had wrote the note , and read the note .
" Kriiiiiinnnnnggggggg ! "
School's over . The atmosphere was jovial .
Everyone was screaming , Happy Valentines Day !
June and Edward smiled at each other , and June excuses herself .
" So .. what did you wrote on that piece of paper ? " , asked curious Andy with a look on his face that says , ' I Know What You Just Did .. ' .
" Whaat ? Nothing . Just a reminder of today's homework " , replied Edward , trying to create a diversion .
And he walked off .
"Love birds ... " , said Andy confidently .
Edward walked towards the Science Lab , checking his hair through a window on the way there .
He sees June , holding the note he wrote earlier today .
" June ! " , Edward shouts .
She turns around , and gives Edward a sweet smile .
"Happy Valentines Day , June . "
" You too . " , said June .
There was a moment of silence between them , and finally , Edward calmly told her ...
" June , I love you . "
There was a brief pause ,
She stared into Edward's eyes , and she slowly went into his arms .
Knowing that he is hers ,and she loves him too of course ,
Edward placed his forehead on hers , and his arms around her waist .
And she moved in , and gently kissed Edward on the lips .
And it quickly became a passionate kiss between them both . As their heart beats faster and faster , their breath gets deeper , both hands sweat .
They know nothing around them can stop the moment where the two seals their love with a kiss .
June wraps her arms around Edwards shoulders , and slowly drops the white piece of paper ..
